The SunampPV 5 kWh heat battery offers you an extremely efficient energy storage system that's designed to work in tandem with Photovoltaic (PV) systems and can even work on it's own as a stand alone product! The SunampPV performs in a way that no hot water cylinder to date has been able to keep up with. The products annual standing heat loss is astonishingly low as it retains over 50% more heat per year when compared with similar models made by Heatrae Sadia or Vaillant, making it one of the most cost effective in it's range.

When coupled with PV solar panels, the SunampPV stores excess energy that would usually be going back to the grid. You could be wasting literally thousands of kWh's in energy each year! All valuable energy that you could be using yourself!

The SunampPV system is not only much more efficient than hot water cylinders but it is also much smaller at just 700mm x 300mm x 530mm. The system also comes with flexible hoses which means that it can easily be installed under any standard sized kitchen worktop.

The SunampPV Heat Battery is very much like a typical under counter water heater. It's basically mains water in, hot water out and a pressure relief valve.

One of the advantages of SunampPV over an unvented cylinder is that they do not come under the UK's G3 regulations, which means anyone complying with UK water regulations can fit them and due to the small volume of water held by the SunampPV there is NO risk of legionella!

Inside the SunampPV

The SunampPV Heat Battery has a 4 core cable, which provides the unit with a permanent live, neutral, earth and immersion heater live. The immersion heater live is attached to your PV diversion kits power throttle. The basic layout of the pipework is (from top to bottom) water in, PRV discharge, Red CellTM discharge and hot water out. Due to the compact nature of the SunampPV, very little space is needed to install it. It can comfortably fit inside a space of 800mm x 320mm x 630mm.
